Army Reserve Veterinar Hauptmann Waffenrock Dress Tunic With Aiguillettes And Visor Cap. The tunic is an approx. size 38 and is made of high quality field-grey, doeskin wool. It features a vertical, eight button front closure with dual metal hooks and eyelets positioned at the forward neckline. The right breast features a high quality, hand stitched, hand embroidered, army eagle, which is made of silver/aluminum wire with a dark blue/green wool backing. The tunic has no exterior pockets, and features carmine wool waffenfarbe piping running down the full length of the left front closure panel edge, the lower half, right, front closure panel edge, around the top edge of the simulated French cuffs, at the forward edge of the lay down collar and on either sides of the reverse tail skirt vent. The simulated French cuffs and the lay down collar are both constructed of dark, blue/green badge cloth. The blue/green badge cloth cuffs feature dual, embroidered, silver/aluminum wire on vertically rectangular, carmine wool backing with an ornamental button to the top of each. The reverse of the tunic has a central, vertical, tail skirt vent with vertical, scalloped flaps piped in carmine wool waffenfarbe. The tail skirt vent has two sets, of dual, vertical, parallel, ornamental buttons to each side with two belt ramp support buttons positioned at the top edge. The shoulder boards are sew-in style, and are made of silver/aluminum Russian braid, with two gilded pips, and and a gilded serpent on each board, with carmine wool waffenfarbe, and light gray (Reserves) wool underlay. The lay down, blue/green badge cloth collar has the typical zig-zag reinforcement stitching to the reverse and carmine wool waffenfarbe piping around the edge. The collar has a set of hand embroidered, silver/aluminum collar bars with carmine wool backing. the left breast features three sets of award loops. The right breast features an officer's silver/aluminum wire set of aiguillettes, with alloy finial tips. The tunic is fully lined with light green rayon lining, and features the tailor's tag "Mathius Hain Trier" while the left breast pocket features an ID tag with the officer's name. this waffenrock is nearly flawless, with one tiny nip on the lower, rear skirt. The overall condition is excellent, with vivid, eye popping colors. The cap is an approx. size 58 and is made of high grade field/gray doeskin wool, with a dark green wool center band and carmine wool waffenfarbe piping. It features a silver frosted alloy cap eagle, and wreath, which both have original, uncleaned patina. The cockade is made of alloy, with a black outer ring, and silver finished middle band. The center piece is made of red wool. The chin cords are made of silver/aluminum wire, and are held to the cap via two pebbled aluminum side buttons. The visor is made of black fiber, with a cross hatched underside. The lining is made of golden silk, and is marked "Paul Kaps Neisse" The celluloid sweat diamond is present, with several cracks. The sweat band is made of gray leather, it is solid, and complete, it is marked "Kaps" and has black velvet trim, at the forehead. The cap shows very light wear from period use. It has a classic, high front saddle shape, with bright and vivid color. There are two small moth nips, on the top rear of the cap. Otherwise, the overall condition is very good++/exc- GMA-4871
