The shako is an approx. size 56 1/2, and is made of black finished fiber, with a blue-green wool covering to the main body. It features both a black finished fiber top, front and rear visors, and band which runs around the base of the shako body, above the visors. Each side of the shako, at the top side, has a set of two air vents, which feature a screen covering, and can be close from inside. The front of the shako features an officer's quality police eagle front plate, which is made of natural aluminum. Above the eagle is an officer's quality, national tricolor field badge. The field badge is made of silver/aluminum wire, with black silk thread, with a red wool center. The chin scales are made of cross hatched aluminum, which are held in place by aluminum rosettes. The chin scales are complete with their leather strap and buckle. The interior features a beige leather sweat band, with beige rayon lining.
