About the Office Manager/CA

My name is Dawn Wuest, I am the Office Manager/CA for Healthy Solutions. This is not only a position which is very fulfilling and exciting for me, but one that almost seemed inevitable for my person. I would like to share with you the journey which has led me here.
I would like to start with a little personal background. I attended Rosary High School in North St. Louis County. I continued my education at SIU Edwardsville in Illinois where I received my degree in business administration. I began my professional career in the financial industry as a Loan Officer for Community Title Company. When new home sales began to drop off, I found the Information Technology industry calling my name. I joined Contel Communications as an executive administrator for the President of Contel's Mc Donnel Douglas division. My husband and I married eighteen years ago after dating for two years. We met through a mutual friend....A blind date if you will. We have three children, two girls and a boy, ranging from ages sixteen to seven. We moved to O'fallon in September of 1995 and have marveled at the growth of not only our children but the city as well. I ended my professional career when our second child was born. It was at this time that unknowingly I would embark on the most rewarding and challenging journey to date in my life. I became a "stay at home" mom and opened a day care center. During the next eight years I not only grew as a mother but found myself becoming more interested in health care. Perhaps with the responsibilty of caring for and watching so many young people grow physically and mentally, this was a natural occurance. As the years passed however, I found myself longing for the organization and professional arena I lived in before children. So, after our youngest child entered school the time was right to leave the nest. I t was thru an accident, literally, that I found myself in the very office I enjoy working in today. It was just over two years ago that two of my children and I were in a car accident. After experiencing soreness and headaches(a problem that has plagued me my entire life), a friend recommended we see a Chiropractor who had been a blessing in her life. Much like the cure that comes with building a relationship through multiple visits with your Chiropractor, my family's cure along with my curiosity with the Chiropractic field grew. I was not only impressed with the results of our treatment and the organization, efficiency and professionalism of this office, but the mission statement of Dr. Hazelwood. The idea of healing thru natural processes and buliding a relationship which incorporates maintenance treatment instead of drastic treatment was intriguing to me. As a mother of three and a caregiver to others for many years I had seen andadministered alot of medication only to see illnesses return as if i had done nothing. When Dr. Hazelwood was able to find a place for me on her team it allowed me fulfill the professionalism I was longing for. This was an opportunity for me to also become part of the Health Care profession in a way that I was completely sold on....Healing through Healthy Solutions.
Thank you for the opportunity to share my story. Healthy Solutions is a dynamic and caring team and it is very exciting to be part of such a team. I look forward to the years of growth with Dr. Hazelwood and opportunities to help old and new friends discover the benrfits of healthy solutions in their life.
