Europe Report

Alan Vincent's
2005 Europe Report - July, 2005

My time over the past two months has been divided between visits to Europe and various places around the USA.

GERMANY AND POLAND

Some of the events that stand out are the visits to Duisburg, Germany and Poland. In Germany I was very aware of the tremendous conflict in the spirit realm. The saints there are battle weary and really need our prayers. I taught all week in an ongoing school of Ministry in Duisberg then did evening meetings. The church I visited there called C.C.R. (Christus Centrum Rurhgebiet) has just successfully purchased some tremendous new facilities, which greatly expands their ministry potential. They are busy remodeling the vast sheds of this former sports center. But when I arrived they seemed worn out and tired from the combination of the spiritual battle and the physical labor involved. The Pastor was sick with fatigue and burnout and hardly left his bed and his church was battle weary. I felt very concerned to pray for a mighty refreshment of spirit, soul and body. This was somewhat answered during my time there but I feel they still need a lot more. Germany is a tough hard place spiritually and much spiritual opposition comes against them. In Poland it was a very different spirit. I was first with dear Wieslaw Ziemba in Legnica and then in a conference of church leaders and businessmen. The focus of the conference was how to bring the Kingdom into the marketplace and how to establish and finance Kingdom businesses. We had a great time with fantastic praise and worship and God’s presence just came down again and again .

THE CZECH REPUBLIC

After a few weeks in the United States, I was back in Europe again. This time, in the Czech Republic to speak at a conference for Randy Boyd; Franz Lippi from Austria also joined us. It was a wonderful conference with nearly every major leader from the entire nation gathered together with hunger and purpose. The theme was “Warring Faith” and God powerfully impacted us all.

While in the Czech Republic, I was deeply affected as I stood in the main square of the beautiful ancient City of Prague and looked at the main centerpiece of that square which was a graphic monument of John Hus being burnt at the stake for the “crime” of making the Scriptures available to his own people in their own language. After Hus was martyred, these “Hussites” escaped to Germany and were given asylum by Count Nicholas Zinzendorf and became the Moravians. This lead to the great 100 Year Prayer Meeting which shook the World and sparked several great revivals.

BALKAN NATIONS TOUR

I have just returned from a visit to Graz Austria followed by a nearly two-week tour of the Balkans visiting particularly Slovenia and Croatia. There we met the same mixture of strong Jesus hating opposition and wide open doors of great opportunity. It was tough, there were many battles but we once again saw some mighty breakthroughs. Richard Jackson who pastors a vibrant growing church in the US in Johnson City, Tennessee, which is developing into a church planting apostolic center, accompanied me. We arrived in Graz on Saturday with an overnight stop in England and went straight into meetings.

The tour began with a wonderful day with the Graz church, which has become an apostolic center under the leadership of Franz Lippi and is reaching out to other areas of Austria and many of the Balkan nations. It is an unusual church with a very high percentage of mature warrior intercessors that give it a power and influence way beyond its numerical strength. They have just acquired a very large building in a most beautiful setting in the most amazing way. It is being refitted to become a 24/7 prayer and training center for many nations plus many other things. It was great to be with them and rejoice with them.

On Sunday we had to leave very early to drive to Ljubljana the capital of Slovenia in time for me to speak in a morning service. We had to arrive early as Slovenia National Television first wanted to interview me and then film the entire service and broadcast it live on national television. I was asked just the right kind of questions and had complete liberty to talk openly about Jesus. The young lady presenter seemed very open and interested and listened intently to my whole message during the filming of the service.

Apparently they have now become sufficiently impressed to ask if they could come to Graz and film every session of the August School of the Word so they can show it in serial form on Slovenian National Television. The church in Ljubljana is rapidly becoming a 24/7 prayer center and apostolic center in it’s own right and it was joy to be with Steve Telzerow and his wife Barbara. We then moved on to another major town of Karlovac where another vigorous church is springing up. In all these meetings the power of the Lord was present to heal and we have had a number of great testimonies of what has happened this time and on a previous visit.

We then crossed over into Croatia and you could immediately feel the difference. It suddenly became spiritually dark and very depressing and I found myself having to fight to stay free, confident and vigorous in my spirit. It was some battle. We met with the church in Zagreb, which again is becoming an effective apostolic center. They are church planting and advancing the kingdom in an aggressive way against some strong catholic opposition which can get violent at times. This was the place where we had seen some hopeless heroin addicts wonderfully set free on our last visit. It was exciting to see them now totally transformed by the power of the risen Christ. We had great meetings with an overflow crowd packing into every square inch of space. Once again God moved powerfully amongst us for the three nights we were there.

There had been plans for us to move on to Bulgaria as there are apparently a number of hungry leaders who having been exposed to my ministry through tapes, the Internet and the printed page are anxious to have me come. However that had to be postponed to another visit. So we left Croatia and headed back to Austria. As we crossed the frontier into Slovenia the darkness immediately lifted and it seemed so free by comparison. We then came to Austria and to Graz and had two refreshing days of prayer, discussion, meeting with leaders and great public meetings each evening. We then left for home tired but blessed by all God had accomplished

Thank you for your faithful and continuous prayers and support helps which make this ministry possible. I solicit your prayer not only for me as I travel and minister but also for Europe. Pray for the strength of the Church in Europe and for a lifting of the veil of spiritual darkness that covers the Continent.

Blessings,
Alan Vincent
