New Orleans-inspired transom for historic houseOur client moved into a lovely old house in one of Chicago's historic neighborhoods. The transom over the front door which may originally have held art glass was then just plain glass. We were asked to design and build a new transom that would recall the client's New Orleans hometown. The French fleur de lis does that. The beveled jewels tie in with those in a nearby crystal chandelier. The deep emerald green and bright white are colorful accents in this otherwise uncolored panel. |
