small memorial doorlight (2)

This simple stained glass panel is in a small window in a door. The door is at the front of the nave and leads to a hallway to the Sunday School classrooms. The pane of plain colored glass that was previously in the window was unattractive. Replacing it provided an ideal opportunity to donate a memorial gift to the church for an modest amount.

Although not as widely used as some other symbols, the butterfly is a traditional symbol in Christian art for Jesus.

This doorlight is 1 of 7 that were created for various doors around the church at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wheaton, IL.
