windows that control glaring sunlightThe abstract design of these windows focuses attention on the Cross in between them and emphasizes the power and meaning of the Cross. The stained glass replaces inappropriate uncolored frosted glass in these south facing openings that glared and made it difficult for the congregation to see people standing in front of the windows especially at certain times of the year and day. The new stained glass permitted the church to move its pulpit back in front of the Cross and also created a more inspiring setting for worship. These windows are at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church, Roselle, IL. |
